Change in Titles for Language Center Staff
At the meeting held on October 2, the AITMT noted its previous approval (18 September 2014) of a proposal from the Language Center that its teaching staff be given titles of “Language Lecturer” and Senior “Language Lecturer”.
The International Water Association and Thailand Water Resources Association: Regional Seminar on Challenges and Responses to Extreme Climatic Events, 25 – 26 November 2014, AIT campus
Prof. Mukand S. Babel (Water Engineering and Management, http://www.set.ait.ac.th/page.php?fol=wem&page=wem) will coordinate with organizers for AIT to partner and host the Regional Sen Seminar on Challenges and Responses to Extreme Climatic Events, 25 – 26 November 2014, to be held on the campus of the Asian Institute of Technology. AIT Swimming pool for women’s use on every Wednesday afternoon
Please be informed that AIT swimming pool, as agreed during the AIT Management Team meeting on 18 September 2014, will be allocated for the use of women only every Wednesday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All other schedules are open for general use.

Certificate Award Ceremony for AIT-DAAD Scholars
The DAAD Office in Thailand will organize the Certificate Award Ceremony for AIT-DAAD Scholars (August 2014 Intake) on 15 October at 10:15 a.m. at the German Embassy in Bangkok. H.E. Mr. Rolf Schulze, German Ambassador to Thailand, will present the certificates to the DADD scholars.
Presentation on “Authorship and Author Rank – Misuses, Misunderstandings and a Meaningful Solution”
A presentation on "Authorship and Author Rank – Misuses, Misunderstandings and a Meaningful Solution” by Professor T. Prabhakar Clement from Auburn University, USA, will be held on Friday, 17 October 2014 at 3 - 4pm, Milton Bender Auditorium. This talk will be based on Prof. Clement’s recent journal article available at: http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs11948-013-9454-3

Video Competition: “A day in the life of an AIT student”
A video competition "A day in the life of an AIT student" is being organized by the Media and Communications Unit (MCU) along with the AIT Student Union.
Judging criteria: (1) Creativity (30 %) (2) Technique (30 %) (3) Overall impact (40%)

Visitors
H.E. Mr. Kjetil Paulsen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Norwegian Embassy will visit the campus on 14 Oct. 2014 to discuss possibility for renewed collaboration between AIT and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ambassador will also meet with the current NMFA Scholarship Recipients.
